Encouraging responsible asset management

The Laplace - Crystal Group and SKEMA BS partnership initially concentrated on Asset Management Consultant traineeships for young students and has allowed over 60 trainees over the least 6 years to join Laplace on permanent contracts after receiving their diplomas.

In 2024, the Laplace - Crystal Group and SKEMA Business school partnership continued and developed as we combined our respective expertise to encourage responsible asset management through the “Crystal x SKEMA ‘Responsible Asset Management and Sustainable Finance’” Chair.

This Chair was signed in September 2024 and aims to:

  • Encourage the spread of the best Asset Management practices amongst the sector’s young professionals through shared initiatives;
  • Support research that will increase the sector’s impact and explore its ESG stakes;
  • Encourage sustainable and responsible investment. 

The Chair will be held for a two year period and will initiate actions in three domains:

  1. Pedagogy and education,
  2. Perspectives arising from Research,
  3. Transfer of know-how. 

As regards pedagogy and education, the Crystal Group will continue to be involved in the “Financial Asset Management” Specialised Master® through conferences and interventions, proposing professional doctorate subjects and awarding an annual prize.

Research perspectives will focus on work related to business transmissions in Europe and the relation between Private Equity and ESG criteria.

Finally, for the know-how transfer domain, a white paper will be published to raise public awareness on the research works initiated by the Chair. Conferences and webinars hosted by experts and researchers will also be organised.

The quality of the recommendations of our advisors relies on their understanding of the constantly changing taxation and regulatory issues and their perfect knowledge of investment products.

In total, all of our employees receive at least 40 hours of training to guarantee the service standards expected by our clients.
